Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of our website, and information required to serve you as a client. We collect only what we need to provide advice, quote coverage, service policies, and communicate clearly.

  • Contact information — name, email, phone, mailing address.
  • Business information — company name, industry, operations, and details required to underwrite coverage.
  • Insurance inquiry information — coverage interests, prior policies, and risk exposures you share with us.
  • Policy request information — applications, schedules, financial statements, and supporting documentation for underwriting.
  • Website analytics — pages viewed, referring sources, and interactions with our site.
  • Cookies — small files used to remember preferences and measure site performance.
  • Browser and device information — device type, browser, general location, and IP address.
  • Communication preferences — how you prefer to be contacted and topics of interest.
02

How We Use Information

We use the information you share to serve you as a client and to run our business responsibly. Common uses include:

  • Responding to inquiries and requests for information.
  • Preparing insurance quotations and reviewing coverage options.
  • Providing the services you've asked us to perform — servicing policies, issuing certificates, and handling claims.
  • Improving website performance and the clarity of our resources.
  • Communicating with clients about renewals, policy changes, and industry updates.
  • Meeting regulatory, licensing, and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Protecting against fraud and misuse of our systems.
03

Information Sharing

We share information only when it's necessary to serve you, run our business, or meet a legal obligation. Categories of recipients include:

  • Insurance carriers — to prepare quotations, bind coverage, and service policies.
  • Wholesalers and specialty markets — for placements requiring specialized underwriting.
  • Surety companies — for bond applications and issuance.
  • Technology providers — vendors that host, secure, or process information on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal or regulatory authorities — where required by law, subpoena, or valid governmental request.

AB Hurley does not sell personal information. We do not rent or trade the information you share with us.

04

Cookies & Analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to help pages load correctly, remember preferences, and understand how the site is used.

  • Essential cookies — required for the site to function.
  • Analytics — help us understand which pages are useful and where clients need more clarity.
  • Performance monitoring — helps identify slow or broken experiences so we can fix them.
  • Marketing cookies — used only if enabled, and disclosed here when applicable.
  • User preferences — remember choices such as accessibility or communication settings.

Business visitor identification. We may use business visitor-identification technology provided by a third party (RB2B) to understand which companies and professional contacts engage with our website. Where the provider is able to match a U.S.-based visit, it may share professional information such as company name, industry, company size, name, job title, professional email address, LinkedIn profile, and the pages viewed. This information is visible only to authorized AB Hurley staff and is used to understand interest in our services. We do not use it to collect sensitive personal characteristics, health or personal financial information, personal phone numbers, or home addresses, and we do not automatically contact visitors based on it. Browsers sending a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal are excluded. You may also opt out for this browser below.

Website usage information. When you visit our website, we may collect information about how the site is used, including:

  • Pages visited and actions taken on the site, such as clicking a phone or email link
  • The referring website or campaign that led you to our site
  • Device and browser information, such as device type, browser, operating system, screen size, and language
  • Approximate geographic information (such as country, state, or city) derived from network information — not precise location
  • A randomly generated anonymous visitor identifier and session identifier stored in your browser
  • Information you voluntarily submit through our website forms

The visitor identifier does not contain your name, email, phone number, or IP address. If you submit a form, the information you provide may be associated with your prior and later use of our website so we can better understand and respond to your request. We do not sell this information or send your form details to third-party analytics providers. Detailed website activity records are retained for a limited period (currently about 180 days).

Cookie preferences. A cookie preferences center will be available here to manage optional categories. In the meantime, most browsers let you review and clear cookies from their settings.

Data Security

Protecting client information is a core responsibility. We take a layered approach and rely on both technology and disciplined internal practices.

  • Encryption — data in transit is protected with modern encryption standards.
  • Secure systems — we work with reputable, security-focused platforms and carriers.
  • Access controls — access to client information is limited to team members who need it to serve you.
  • Industry best practices — we follow guidance appropriate for a professional advisory firm.
  • Ongoing monitoring — systems are watched for unusual activity, and issues are addressed promptly.
  • Employee confidentiality — team members are trained on confidentiality and their obligations.

No system is perfect, but we take our role as stewards of your information seriously and continually invest in the practices that keep it safe.

06

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights regarding the information we hold about you. Generally, you may:

  • Request access to the personal information we maintain about you.
  • Request corrections if information is inaccurate or out of date.
  • Request deletion where applicable, subject to legal recordkeeping requirements.
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time.
  • Update communication preferences to reflect how you'd like to hear from us.
  • Exercise applicable state privacy rights where those laws apply.
